Oops!!
I was wrong!
In my old book I found this:
In 35 mm format the distance between the current frame and the recorder/reader sound head, is 19 1/3 frames.
But I can't corroborate if the same thing happen with 16mm or Super 8mm.
Carlos.

I think it's 18 frames for super 8.
But I'm not positive.

If I?m not wrong, there?s 24 frames between the sound recorder/reader head and the correspondient frame in 35 mm format.
I think the same happens for Super 8 mm.
BTW, I have a book about "Cinematographic Techniques". Something I can find here about this topic.

It?s definitivly 18 frames with S8. The corresponding frame is 18 frames behind the sound.
